Smart Corps takes sides in the Tippmann World Challenge.
Smart Corps Factory team supports their team-mates in preparation for the Tippmann World Challenge.
September 15, 2008 – Loyalhanna, PA - The Tippmann World Challenge has been a staple in American scenario paintball games for the past decade, pitting “Tippmann” against “The World.” Sean Scott, alongside his team mates from the Smart Corps Factory Team are gearing up for
another World victory this year.
Held at Hell Survivors field in Pinckney, Michigan, the game is scheduled for September 27 and 28th.
“Last year was incredible,” said Sean Scott, captain of the Smart Corps Factory Team, “It was a fun weekend, and we had a great time with players from both teams. We've put together some extra bonuses for players who register to play with us this year and want to take
the fun even further.”
As a sign of solidarity, the first 100 people to sign up for the World Team will receive a limited edition shirt proclaiming the team's Victory through Diversity theme. With the help of the Grassy Knoll Gunmen and countless teams from the Smart Corps Special Forces, the Smart Corps Factory Team plans a weekend to be remembered in Pinckney. Look for more information to be released on special events, giveaways, and great deals at the game.
Players who haven't yet had the chance to try the incredible power of the affordable SP-1 that has driven the Smart Corps Factory Team to numerous SPPL victories can have their opportunity during the weekend-long activities. Smart Corps CSPPL Player's Clinic
The Smart Corps Factory Team, national SPPL champions for the last two years running, will host a player's clinic at Adrenaline Paintball to teach effective competitive scenario strategies and tactics.
September 5, 2008 – Loyalhanna, PA – Sean Scott, Director of
Promotions and Public Relations for Smart Parts, Inc., announced today that members of the Smart Corps Factory Team will attend the national finals of the Canadian Scenario Player's Paintball League in show of support for the league and to improve the level of competition it offers.
A sister league to the US based SPPL, the CSPPL offers Canadian teams the same opportunities to compete in scenario styled long format paintball tournaments on wooded fields in regional events that select the teams which will fight for the national championship at the season finals. This year's CSPPL finals tournament will be held the second weekend of September at Adrenaline Paintball in London, Ontario.
On Friday, September 12th, as the event's activities begin, Smart
Corps Team Captain, Sean Scott will be providing technical support and training to help players and techs with Smart Parts equipment, including the scenario focused SP-1 and SP-8 paintball markers. Then, at 3 o'clock on Friday afternoon, members of the Smart Corps Factory Team will be offering a free player's clinic, teaching teamwork, on-field communication, equipment optimization and coordinated movement. As two-year reigning SPPL champions, the Smart Corp Factory Team has learned how to implement these skill sets to become a powerful force on the field, and hopes to increase the level of North
American scenario competition by teaching these techniques to other teams.

Smart Corps Wins New York SPPL!
The Smart Corps Factory Team continues its winning streak in the Scenario Players Paintball League.
Loyalhanna, PA – August 4, 2008 – Now in its fourth season, the Scenario Player's Paintball League has become the premiere battleground for paintball teams to test their mettle in a scenario style competition.
The SPPL game format involves hour long games with teams fighting for control of not one flag, but of three bases. Additional objectives can be captured which can give teams a tactical advantage by instantly resurrecting eliminated players, using RPG's, rockets which can be thrown, and Dirty Bombs which take some strategy to use, as they will eliminate both friend and foe in their area of detonation.
New this year, the league is dividing teams by skill and experience
levels. The SPPL allows teams to compete in the Rookie, Master's or Elite divisions. As the reigning national champions for the last two years, the Smart Corps Factory team competes against the best of the best in the Elite division.
SPPL qualifier competitions are held throughout the United States and allow teams to earn the right to compete in the national finals at the end of the year. July 26th and 27th, scenario players converged on the historic Cousin's Paintball field in Platekill, New York. With four victories out of four games played, First Place Elite went to the Smart Corps.
The Smart Corps Factory Team consists of employees working in Smart Parts' Pennsylvania office and factory. Not only have they risen to the top of the country's most prominent scenario competition, they have had a great time doing it.

“We love playing in the SPPL,” said team member Bill Gardner, Jr, “The SPPL has really brought back old-school in-the-woods paintball, like the tournaments we played back in the 80s. They've infused it with a modern scenario twist and a style that really brings out the camaraderie and sportsmanship of all the teams.”
Gardner, like most of the team, takes to the field with a Smart Parts SP-1 tactical marker This compact milsim-oriented electropneumatic paintball marker has been turning heads since it first appeared in the team's hands at the 2007 SPPL finals. The SP-1's durability and quiet low-pressure operation give it the stealth, firepower and flexibility that woods oriented players are after, but its price tag is affordable to the first-time paintballer.
“This is a great start to the new season for us,” said team coordinator Sean Scott, “We've recently brought aboard Dave Cilio from the Thunderstruck scenario team as well as Frank Connell from Procaps and Rich Bianco from Punisher PB. All three were a great asset in New York, even after Frank sprained his ankle. It was a great event for us, and we'd like to especially thank the OTP Saints, Black Eagle Squadron, 110 and NY Spindown for their sportsmanship.”
With New York under their belt, the Smart Corps factory team will next compete in the SPPL Michigan Qualifier. For more information about the Scenario Paintball Player's League, visit www.PlaySPPL.com

"Forest Fire" wins Elite Division at Utah SPPL Qualifier
Team Forest Fire won first place in the Elite Division in the 2008 Utah SPPL Qualifier, while Desert Edge captured both first and second in the Masters Division. In the Rookie Division, BlackLight Company took home first place honors.
In spite of snow showers Thursday before the event, perfect spring weather greeted players for competitive woodsball action at the famous SpecOps Retribution field just outside Salt Lake City, Utah on May 2 and 3. The SPPL (Scenario Paintball Players’ League) is in full swing, and 13 teams showed up two compete in the second event of the tournament series, battling for more than $15,000 worth of prizes in the Masters and Elite Division and trophies and medallions for the Rookies.
In the Finals, Forest Fire took on veteran team Run, who saw Tom Cole, Steve Paige, and Dale “Pegleg” Price all guesting on the team during the weekend. The win was especially significant to Forest Fire, who had lost a member of their paintball family, U.S. Marine Dustin Canham, just a few months prior.
As in every SPPL event, sportsmanship was the order of the day both on and off the field. In a sportsmanship vote by the players, nearly every team received a significant amount of votes. The Sportsmanship Award, equal in value to the first place prize package, went to Feel the Paint, recognized for their honesty, positive attitude, and fun-loving nature. Several players also recognized the head refs and team Bad Karma for the exemplary job they did reffing on the rough terrain of the Retribution Field.
The sun had nearly set on the mountain by the time promoter Jayson Nielson finished handing out prizes, congratulating teams and thanking the refs, sponsors and his staff. The SPPL is sponsored by Tippmann, Special Ops Paintball, Smart Parts, Planet Eclipse, Maddmann Paintball, APE/Rampage, Stiffi, VForce, DraXxus, QLoader, Tiberius Arms, Blast Radius Woodsball Podcast and RECON, the Magazine of Woods Paintball.
The Winners:
Rookie:
1st - BlackLight Company
2nd - Suicide Kings
3rd - Feel the Paint
Masters:
1st - Desert Edge Yin
2nd - Desert Edge Yang
3rd - Montana Inertia

Vibe and SP-1 Get Select Fire
The affordable high-performance Vibe and SP-1 electropneumatic paintball markers from Smart Parts now feature select-fire capability.
Loyalhanna, PA – February 8, 2008 – It's no surprise that since their launch in October of 2007, the Vibe and SP-1 have gained incredible popularity. Both of these new markers from Smart Parts deliver high-end true-electropneumatic performance at a price that is
affordable to first time players.
A hammer-free design lets the Vibe and SP-1 shoot fast without the accuracy-robbing shake and vibration found in competing paintguns. The low-pressure operation and the relief valve in the Max-Flo R vertical regulator allow these markers to perform with compressed air, or more affordable CO2 which is perfect for the player who is just getting started, or who wants true-electropneumatic performance in their mil-sim marker.
While originally released in a semi-automatic only version, Smart Parts, Inc. is proud to announce that the Vibe and SP-1 are now multi-mode markers. In select-fire mode, players can cycle between single-shot, 3-shot burst and full-automatic firing at the touch of a button, right in the middle of the game. When tournament or field rules require it, these markers can be switched into tournament-legal semi-automatic mode. In this mode, they are hardware locked and deliver one, and only one, shot per trigger pull.
“Using the select fire mode has been fantastic,” said Smart Parts Sales Representative Sean Scott. As the captain of the Smart Corps Factory Team, Scott puts paintball tactics and equipment to the test in the real world, helping bring home the team's second consecutive national Scenario Paintball Player's League Championship with the SP-1. “There are times when full-auto is great, but then there are times when I need that perfect single shot during the same game, the select fire modes give me the flexibility to choose on the fly. Most other markers lock down into a single mode only, requiring tools to make a change. With our new select fire mode, I can go from full-auto back to semi with one button press, but when we play at a field that's semi-only, I can open my grip with a hex wrench and lock it down to 100-percent field legal.”
Multi-mode operation is now included in all newly manufactured Vibe and SP-1 markers and as a free upgrade for existing Vibe and SP-1 paintguns. Owners of single-mode Vibe and SP-1 electropneumatic markers are encouraged to either visit SmartParts.com or call Smart Parts Technical Support at 800-992-2147 to request an RMA number for their upgrade. When the upgrade is complete, customers will be called to arrange return shipping payment.
Shipping charges can be avoided by bringing the marker to a major paintball event with Smart Parts factory tech support such as the PSP or SPPL tournaments throughout the 2008 season.
Select fire mode will not be available in the UK, Australia or any other country where the law restricts markers to semi-automatic operation.
Smart Parts, Inc., is a leading developer and manufacturer of equipment and accessories for the sport of paintball. For more information on the Vibe and SP-1, visit SmartParts.com.
